Important Considerations for Movers

Long distance moves are either moves beyond the local move distance (intrastate) or city-to-city between different states (interstate).

Intrastate Moves

In Florida, all intrastate moves are regulated by Florida’s Department of Agriculture, Division of Consumer Services. All moving companies are required to be licensed. The Florida license number for AmeriMove is IM-201. If you have a question regarding the licensing of a Florida mover, you can contact the Division of Consumer Services at 1-800-HELP-FLA.

For Intrastate Moves, we typically have Full Value Protection with a $500 deductible on the estimate.

If you’d like a quote, please give us a call at (850) 656-7100. A representative for AmeriMove can meet with you at your home or office in order to discuss the specific requirements for your move. We also have a form on this page that you can fill out to get a Free moving estimate today.

Interstate Moves

Interstate moves are regulated by the US Department of Transportation. AmeriMove is a proud agent of Allied Van Lines, the world’s number one mover. Allied’s license number is U.S.DOT 076235. All interstate moves are conducted under Allied’s Federal authority.

The industry standard is to charge using the fixed-price method (a guaranteed price). This is the preferred pricing method, as it accurately reflects the demands of our customers. Interested in a fixed-price quote? We are available to meet with you in order to establish a fixed-price estimate for free.

Full Value Protection ($0 deductible) is always included in the price for interstate moves. You then have an option to change your deductible ($250, $500) or select Basic Coverage (.60 per lb. per article).
